Help: pulsars 14.03.93
Pulsars are specially configured Ethernet Boxes. In this mode
they send (in adjustable time distances) an ethernet block with
information over the network segment, at which the pulsar is
installed. Net-Control can control and store the data of up to
40 pulsars directly.
So that Net-Control can receive and evaluate the packets of the
pulsars it must be configured to the destination address of the
pulsarpackets. This is done in the configuration menu under the
point ≤receive-address:≥. Usually this is the address ⌠0000FB585858⌡.
≤Fields to edit for each controlled pulsar:≥
- The minimum limiting value for the load.
- The Maximum limiting value for the load.
- The question, whether here an alarm should be triggered.
- The minimum limiting value for the fault rate.
These are all incorrect ethernetpackets with exception of the
shortframes.
- The maximum limiting value for the fault rate rate.
- The question, whether an alarm should be triggered.
- The minimum limiting value for the collision rate.
Beside the transmitcollisions of the pulsar the received
shortframes are counted in this value.
- The maximum limiting value.
- The question, whether an alarm should be triggered.
- The name of this pulsar, which is shown on the screen of
the control of the actual data.
If you have given the pulsar itself a name (by entering this
name at the end of the pulsarblock behind the ⌠*⌡ character),
so that name overwrites this name.
